Zero Bugs...Period™

Increased quality. Faster time-to-market. Superior reliability. Reduced full-lifecycle product costs. Netrino embraces these engineering ideals in a systematic and strategic manner. We don’t just say it. We don’t just believe it. We do it by starting with a very simple goal – bugs must be eradicated! Bugs may be an inevitable part of the engineering process, but bugs are unacceptable in Netrino-designed products. And bugs are unacceptable in embedded systems ranging from medical devices to industrial controls, which have associated safety risks and liability concerns.

A Multi-Layered Approach

Zero Bugs...PeriodTo eradicate firmware bugs, we have established a unique and far-reaching design management methodology which we call Zero Bugs...PeriodTM. More than a mantra, to all of Netrino’s engineers, Zero Bugs…Period means a multi-tiered series of practices and techniques that have been proven time and again to reduce bugs and increase product quality. Our engineers and managers are trained in these practices via the same Netrino Institute courses that are available to all embedded engineers, and our team utilizes these practices to offer first-class consulting and product design services.

The Zero Bugs…Period methodology includes a set of guidelines and training courses that encompass the four key layers of an engineering organization:

  • Architecture – Senior Engineers evaluate the overall system to be designed and benefit from approaches within the Zero Bugs…Period methodology that have been created to effectively evaluate tradeoffs and build up complete system requirements and specifications.
  • Process – Program Managers keep the team focused and the project within schedule/budget constraints and benefit from Zero Bugs…Period project management tools and techniques built around the efficient use of time and the minimization of latent bugs.
  • Culture – Corporate Executives enable and motivate the entire organization to achieve its product development goals and benefit from Zero Bugs…Period training offerings within the Netrino Institute that emphasize strategies and processes to motivate engineers and to create an environment that fosters innovation.

The Zero Bugs…Period logo appears in Netrino Institute training course materials and in documents created by our consulting teams to highlight strategies and tactics crucial to efficient engineering. Netrino's engineering design teams use these same techniques internally to reduce bugs and keep schedules in line.
